When Ted Hsu announced that he would be leaving Federal politics in 2015 we were disappointed—he had been a superb MP, diligently representing our community to the nation with a calm, rational and productive approach to problem solving. Ted’s fellow MPs had acknowledged his hard work and collaborative nature by voting him a Parliamentarian of the Year in 2013. Ted explained that his departure from elected office was because he needed to spend more time with his young family—our admiration and respect for him only grew.
We are delighted that Ted is now able and willing to step back into the ring and fight for Kingstonians and the things that matter to us. To have a multilingual MPP who is accomplished in the fields of science, finance and the environment is a best-case scenario, which we wholeheartedly embrace.
Ted Hsu is a humble person, not one to champion his own accomplishments. It would take up far too much time, and Ted is laser focused on the challenges ahead.
Ted Hsu is exactly the type of informed, talented and ethical person that our politics needs—then, now and always."
